<br />
The product I chose to focus on was the Epic Day Designer Series Paper (DSP) - it is not normally my type of paper - it's very bright, but with vintage sponging and distressing - two things I tend to stay away from!! But I don't know what it is about this paper that I just LOVE!! I do like co-ordination, so the fact that there is a whole suite of products to go with the DSP might have something to do with it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_fCueoB4vbxZ4UBiig44V9egeUclhmNYCcfIK3kTezp6Lw075-OoawJyYlYcHMvIsizZ9n9S81gyAyvYhwhc_lty4fTMsbb7zwykBm16dJGbvD17Evu-qagTVhjYSHVI6P1nIasKGfYHU/s400/Epic+Day+Paper.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_fCueoB4vbxZ4UBiig44V9egeUclhmNYCcfIK3kTezp6Lw075-OoawJyYlYcHMvIsizZ9n9S81gyAyvYhwhc_lty4fTMsbb7zwykBm16dJGbvD17Evu-qagTVhjYSHVI6P1nIasKGfYHU/s320/Epic+Day+Paper.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
My first project is something I did after our UnConvention in May. I couldn't afford to go to real convention, so a group of us got together on facebook and did some challenges and had some chats and generally had a lot of fun! But it got us thinking - do we want to be on facebook next year, or in Melbourne at the real thing?? SO - I went out and bought a cheapie money tin - you know the ones you need a tin opener to get your money out?? (Here is the before pic - isn't it gorgeous??!!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNwAQR68f94P4vnfpEsTwYLPCtY4VwqpkYqPmkOaEV8TUs626k9d_Yv5RO7lYt0TzxkvNlAwyZuKk6gVdfL3suAGeZJS6PxTPg6OUK80KKqrPUViW6e9Nw0J8um8X9GGi2slDqQZX3_aSw/s1280/DSC05192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNwAQR68f94P4vnfpEsTwYLPCtY4VwqpkYqPmkOaEV8TUs626k9d_Yv5RO7lYt0TzxkvNlAwyZuKk6gVdfL3suAGeZJS6PxTPg6OUK80KKqrPUViW6e9Nw0J8um8X9GGi2slDqQZX3_aSw/s320/DSC05192.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
- so I covered it using the Epic Day DSP, (this is the muted page with lots of empowering words!) and decorated it using the washi tape, and the designer stickers. There are some great sayings on those stickers that fit right in with saving! "Stockpile" "Squirrel Away" "Stash" - plus this quote:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5CbftFVI5GMumJyIcgjntKG_bxt-QIHdUz7Cuqtg6dPylvO3_TLLN6nvOPOJkdQwi5ONERwvVARsV8sdJNI_eg8hE6KbhVW2ysSOiNFN6PC9eTn9VVkTGJbRy0swQlx-9ji6ZLkAfqMCb/s1280/epic+day+dreams+quote.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5CbftFVI5GMumJyIcgjntKG_bxt-QIHdUz7Cuqtg6dPylvO3_TLLN6nvOPOJkdQwi5ONERwvVARsV8sdJNI_eg8hE6KbhVW2ysSOiNFN6PC9eTn9VVkTGJbRy0swQlx-9ji6ZLkAfqMCb/s320/epic+day+dreams+quote.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It says "dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be"<br />
I also used the new rotary stamp to stamp the date on one of the stickers - just to remind me when this needs to be full by!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKX3ojxuONsIWHHxTBygrW28K14JVypmHyTnDSki8PjrN2UUIXvoiNMd7oPdMMIE7lI-yVk-mPHQFDKlTwzzdVq8dLsNlsMlFFeUlMhJYj8Q2hTpv9gLHo9lmooaPZL2IFpo4xj8TH7bUV/s1280/money+tin+date.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKX3ojxuONsIWHHxTBygrW28K14JVypmHyTnDSki8PjrN2UUIXvoiNMd7oPdMMIE7lI-yVk-mPHQFDKlTwzzdVq8dLsNlsMlFFeUlMhJYj8Q2hTpv9gLHo9lmooaPZL2IFpo4xj8TH7bUV/s320/money+tin+date.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the finished tin:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1pWPQMwr878_OeukO3_HV5Pktz9RPlQ2157K-tf9cjUU6Am05sCRJjONIMi3F4WeR0fT1qpddnorg9bdD3ixIje4PohXl8Pxu25acBBYHa3d_RJ527TIwZVsaFhx0lduW6TPrDR_BezKh/s1280/money+tin+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1pWPQMwr878_OeukO3_HV5Pktz9RPlQ2157K-tf9cjUU6Am05sCRJjONIMi3F4WeR0fT1qpddnorg9bdD3ixIje4PohXl8Pxu25acBBYHa3d_RJ527TIwZVsaFhx0lduW6TPrDR_BezKh/s320/money+tin+1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
MUCH better :)<br />
<br />
And on a totally different brightness scale - here is a scrapbook page I made using the brightest pieces of DSP I could stand - but I wanted to use the new single stamp "sunshine" - and so the bright colours really fit with that :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdicjcmocUtI4mOkk3ltVxsMcNFpShYHg8rGCxnN-lDPbhYfe1AqdsGuLGBSlVx2luHwTOzbGQhT6cGK917W4nBD9_AF6xAnORYM_pMA1zx59l0lRktsIbhxWh26sJmnruzeAaOsXgjUe3/s1280/epic+day+sb+page+single+stamp.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdicjcmocUtI4mOkk3ltVxsMcNFpShYHg8rGCxnN-lDPbhYfe1AqdsGuLGBSlVx2luHwTOzbGQhT6cGK917W4nBD9_AF6xAnORYM_pMA1zx59l0lRktsIbhxWh26sJmnruzeAaOsXgjUe3/s320/epic+day+sb+page+single+stamp.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
(I totally CASEd this layout from <a href="http://www.carolpaynestamps.com/" target="_blank">Carol Payne</a> - it is a progressive page - starting with a 6x6, then A4, then finally 12x12)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUGu5VlmLtvHXYWydsjn-O3i61DhNxmUu5g7v6KeCBFjW2MK4AdTmD5SG87Qlyruxg3sAu-fRyDHhm6Rnisbl5IT5Pq_KD7CWHyKHAxbCUl649d-9vSs1NR1KNIAtESLIxA0EDKcznGS7j/s1280/epic+day+sb+page.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUGu5VlmLtvHXYWydsjn-O3i61DhNxmUu5g7v6KeCBFjW2MK4AdTmD5SG87Qlyruxg3sAu-fRyDHhm6Rnisbl5IT5Pq_KD7CWHyKHAxbCUl649d-9vSs1NR1KNIAtESLIxA0EDKcznGS7j/s320/epic+day+sb+page.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(please excuse my photos! My house is very dark, and taking these was really tricky! I will give it another go, and see if I can replace the pictures!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
My next project is a sampler for my stamp room wall - it's made to fit a 6x8 frame, with 6 "mini canvases" using the DSP and co-ordinating product. Love the washi tape! I stuck it to a piece of pool party cardstock, and then punched out little flowers for the middle of the rosettes. Too cute!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkrX0mlUKv8RpXQFSmST7eqVsiKx49PppBRQX8oJrlSmQNBXZeLKeGIotIhDrYLRk02zj79nxtcRxmkCquvyVSHjLnc6khhFTjzZmvEOJOv02wMLusWCpwrHA04NAuzB5caImUplUFm_kR/s960/epic+day+sampler.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkrX0mlUKv8RpXQFSmST7eqVsiKx49PppBRQX8oJrlSmQNBXZeLKeGIotIhDrYLRk02zj79nxtcRxmkCquvyVSHjLnc6khhFTjzZmvEOJOv02wMLusWCpwrHA04NAuzB5caImUplUFm_kR/s320/epic+day+sampler.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally - a version of these DSP paperclips appear in the new catalogue - but I changed them a bit. I had been playing round with the oval punch bows for a couple of projects for my catalogue launch, and wondered about putting them on top of a paperclip as a bookmark - well it totally worked!<br />
I LOVE these things!! There is a tutorial <a href="http://www.constantlystamping.com/constantly_stamping/2012/10/paper-punch-faux-bow-video-tutorial.html" target="_blank">here</a> for the oval punch faux bow - too easy!! for the paperclip, swap the button for a thin strip round the middle, and thread it through the paperclip before gluing it to the back of the bow :) (make sense???)<br />

<br />
Now it's time to head on over to <a href="http://stampingt.com.au/blog/?p=5877" target="_blank">Tanya's</a> page - I nearly died when I realised who I was next to!! When my money tin is full, and I make it to convention next year, I will TOTALLY be stalking this lady!! :) Enjoy her gorgeous projects!<br />

I have to admit to not being totally enamoured with this seasonal catalogue at first glance - but then I saw all the AMAZING things people were creating with the products, and my wish list went from about 3 items - to about 30!! Hopefully, this blog hop will do just the same to you!!<br />
<br />
We have 24 super talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia and New Zealand - I'm not sure I can include myself as super talented - I always feel so much pressure when I see who else was signing up to do the hop! Hopefully I can live up to my own hype!!<br />

<br />
So.... anyway... you possibly came from the uber talented <a href="http://www.magpiecreates.com/" target="_blank">Sharlene Meyer</a>'s blog - and her gorgeous creation using the Tea for Two suite for the new My Digital Studio. If not, stress not! It's a circular hop - just follow the links and you'll find your way back there eventually!<br />
<br />
Ok... on to my projects. I chose the Dress Up Framelits for my product - I just love them. There are so many gorgeous ideas with this set. There is a matching stamp set, but I wanted to have a play with the framelits using DSP and other ways to make them pretty!<br />
So, I googled, and pinterested, and generally wasted a LOT of time, and then played with a HEAP of different ideas - and then I put them all to one side and went with a very basic set up for each of my projects!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYEiT91NTlD-1MPsEU3C2zU7AEyVzVUChHd0u4CwuPfzYqQ7vXlKyJIiMxRpUoc3AbrlcjJDUCOMfJQFKnYv4GrbSKNxyOMcO7flFm8QyMyfsurKiewrsYvAM-i1NfC9kgE33U3oxvA0_P/s1600/IMG_3448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYEiT91NTlD-1MPsEU3C2zU7AEyVzVUChHd0u4CwuPfzYqQ7vXlKyJIiMxRpUoc3AbrlcjJDUCOMfJQFKnYv4GrbSKNxyOMcO7flFm8QyMyfsurKiewrsYvAM-i1NfC9kgE33U3oxvA0_P/s320/IMG_3448.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The framelits come with three shapes - a mannequin dress form, a cap sleeve dress and a strappy dress. I wanted to showcase the two different types of dress - and how you can alter each dress to get some really cute options. The frame above shows the cap sleeved dress, altered from left to right - cutting the sleeves down to make straps, making it longer, the original - with a ribbon belt added, a longer version with a rounded neck, then the final one with a cardigan over the dress. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love how the simple act of using the 3/4 inch circle punch to scoop the neckline changes the look of the long dress. (I'm so sorry for the photos - the glass from the frame made it so hard to take a decent photo!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's a close up of the un-altered dress - although I cheated a bit - and it IS altered!! I cut the top and bottom out of a piece of Print Poetry DSP, and placed it so the pattern was in the best place - then covered the join with the Midnight Muse ribbon - but the shape is unchanged, and THAT was my point!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4mDqcnNF82GEEr90O5vBlI67gAcuLAQFnqO1IWyuTrpXwpUZRi8O4VpQbp_s4wSd8a28YN1Tz1fOnvJcsS-gu_DUyJV0Gi_KiVs3eL1D1Jk9CfcqBeV7Z5IiA0ixWwMUadrK1IauX9ps7/s1600/IMG_3449.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4mDqcnNF82GEEr90O5vBlI67gAcuLAQFnqO1IWyuTrpXwpUZRi8O4VpQbp_s4wSd8a28YN1Tz1fOnvJcsS-gu_DUyJV0Gi_KiVs3eL1D1Jk9CfcqBeV7Z5IiA0ixWwMUadrK1IauX9ps7/s320/IMG_3449.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUZH5IIuryBd-3KQabvdCnBryV2ryay99R8ZQPovDMBlKD0oQaeVKrGnXb-LBlLpvn19Y2AjSG7lO6DVZGSJgWB7w53H1xISjF7H5TJducXsvhUklLceospBj_ze_e72AWc3GUIEJeF4ww/s1600/IMG_3462.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUZH5IIuryBd-3KQabvdCnBryV2ryay99R8ZQPovDMBlKD0oQaeVKrGnXb-LBlLpvn19Y2AjSG7lO6DVZGSJgWB7w53H1xISjF7H5TJducXsvhUklLceospBj_ze_e72AWc3GUIEJeF4ww/s320/IMG_3462.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This frame shows the strappy dress - altered in much more obvious ways than the cap sleeve. How CUTE are those shorts in the middle?? I saw that idea on <a href="http://www.pattystamps.typepad.com/" target="_blank">Patty Bennett</a>'s blog - and thought I have to do that! Left to right, the alterations are: the plain strappy dress with a cropped cap sleeve cardi over the top, the original, shorts made using the floral frames framelits, strapless, and a plain strappy dress, with a shorter strappy dress over the top - with the neckline cut out using the floral frames framelit. Pretty!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiapJ74uRrwHw9hmaIsj056YwPbMmBEqp2rOO12ze9gTXBHl57vmAn_ULLURdTERaVWVxidSWfsZLhgrOiUOED_u789GPUUniF3TdGftRoe2p_z0Ri_7h2aM8jYRxJxs9UfQ52KniiafB0g/s1600/IMG_3456.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiapJ74uRrwHw9hmaIsj056YwPbMmBEqp2rOO12ze9gTXBHl57vmAn_ULLURdTERaVWVxidSWfsZLhgrOiUOED_u789GPUUniF3TdGftRoe2p_z0Ri_7h2aM8jYRxJxs9UfQ52KniiafB0g/s320/IMG_3456.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Here's those shorts up close - LOVE!!<br />
<br />
Once I had played with altering the dresses, I wanted to do a frame as a thank you for a friend of mine who has been a HUGE help to me latel, - and she is totally into dresses and clothes and so this was the perfect gift for her!! So I chose the summer smooches DSP, and cut out some different dresses, and lined them up together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3-me6dV40o1xYSd3yiWzCrfgVJ6FAREO6n8ya4_Wm7Tf4saYl5TferQRxC4Ndyyh401r9l1M0bZpwE5W_QScLdzjblEkUPTMQBYGgTShYXCBORGErFHOfBHs7ZkTKpVOLwAnjTmhHB78X/s1600/IMG_3463.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3-me6dV40o1xYSd3yiWzCrfgVJ6FAREO6n8ya4_Wm7Tf4saYl5TferQRxC4Ndyyh401r9l1M0bZpwE5W_QScLdzjblEkUPTMQBYGgTShYXCBORGErFHOfBHs7ZkTKpVOLwAnjTmhHB78X/s320/IMG_3463.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I saw lots of dresses on the net with additions, and bling and belts and all sorts - but these patterns were just so busy and beautiful on their own, that everything I tried just ruined them! I am in love with that green chevron pattern dress!! How cute would that be in real size???</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally...... I have another friend who has taken on a big challenge in her life lately, and I wanted to do a little something for her. I saw the Feel Goods stamp set - and the wording just spoke to me - so I created a little piece of art for her, using the dress framelits, and the blackboard technique - I LOVE this technique - I don't think it is possible to get it wrong!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I know some people use embossing powder, but I prefer using just craft ink - I think it looks more authentically dusty!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here are the other two cards in the little set</div>

<br />
I pinned <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/155796468331249294/" target="_blank">this</a> delightful (and rather bright!!) idea from Erika Cerwin's blog. I wanted something to organise my cards this year (one of my goals for 2013 is to get more organised - another is to send more cards! - so this idea kills two birds with one stone.) Anyway..... here is my take on it using the Sycamore Street DSP - free with a qualifying order.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHI91y_W0WzjKg3vgmJf3TBJ2ghksWrNv_4H1urJXTT09ovYw7GPmYUlw7s5nX_FSEQminkOOtAavWTNf8GZx4SbAp9wiUtT_XbSEFxF-XT2NPAuV5hCx_vtJ-ahFS1mjyegCnp9uXWoe3/s1600/SAB+box.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHI91y_W0WzjKg3vgmJf3TBJ2ghksWrNv_4H1urJXTT09ovYw7GPmYUlw7s5nX_FSEQminkOOtAavWTNf8GZx4SbAp9wiUtT_XbSEFxF-XT2NPAuV5hCx_vtJ-ahFS1mjyegCnp9uXWoe3/s320/SAB+box.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbRt2FicyHuoXMCty5qr8ydCDzRH3SGPG2p1gbmHYLAcNTvsX89Cv7VlC57BgQXj2M460F-YuLhuUJMYAGGLjuXFbvy8ZbITs1Ot3Q-Uv8wBz7ne0pJWU1QZteqFpj1akCS_9oxYp8V4w/s1600/SAB+side+box.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbRt2FicyHuoXMCty5qr8ydCDzRH3SGPG2p1gbmHYLAcNTvsX89Cv7VlC57BgQXj2M460F-YuLhuUJMYAGGLjuXFbvy8ZbITs1Ot3Q-Uv8wBz7ne0pJWU1QZteqFpj1akCS_9oxYp8V4w/s200/SAB+side+box.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I made the box, using Summer Starfruit card stock and covered it with the DSP. Then I had a dilemma - do I sort my cards by month (list everyone with an event that month, make the cards and store them behind the correct month) or by event (the dividers would say "birthday", "anniversary" "thanks" etc etc)? I think I will make one of those next, but for this one, I went with the months of the year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn2h91PeU-CsJeqomhnf1I2g_Ix5bRaU5bo5Bk-rGBgJ67NpGt1AnnrIOyykzbfQyua63YTLn8GKoT8kdjSTjhmTuUi8lWzgRtZGj0wxY-_nb7GSKML4laN-QlAVTFkHFiBGsS18tHWL92/s1600/SAB+close+up.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn2h91PeU-CsJeqomhnf1I2g_Ix5bRaU5bo5Bk-rGBgJ67NpGt1AnnrIOyykzbfQyua63YTLn8GKoT8kdjSTjhmTuUi8lWzgRtZGj0wxY-_nb7GSKML4laN-QlAVTFkHFiBGsS18tHWL92/s320/SAB+close+up.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I printed them out on the computer using the RGB colours that match the SU! colours.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And just to get my organising started - I also made two cards to put in the box. I did CASE these cards, but they were CASEd from cards I had that I had CASEd previously, (that's a LOT of CASE's lol) so unfortunately I cannot remember where I got the ideas from :( If it's you - thanks! I love the simple but effective ways to show off the beautiful DSP.<br />

The even better thing about the ESAD birthday fairies is that - just because your birthday has been, doesn't mean the cards will stop! We are all busy with different things going on, so cards arrive whenever people have time to get them in the mail! Which means - extra long birthday wishes!</div>

This one isn't an ESAD card at all - this is from one of my friends/colleagues/customers who is WAY more talented than I am! I copy most of my ideas - she comes up with hers on her own. Thanks Helen :)<br />

More ESAD birthday fairy cards - this stunning creation is from Felicity Fernandez. I wish I could have got a better picture - it is gorgeous in real life. Such a lovely colour combination - crumb cake, black and pool party. And i love the new butterfly punch :)<div>

Here is my first attempt at the ornament on the front of the holiday catalogue. I didn't have the stamp set at the time, but did have the framelits, so I copied Linda Heller's idea and used the delectable Candlelight Christmas specialty designer paper. The tulle is also on here, and OMG it feels so fine! at the end of the mini catalogue, I think I will have a pile of the tulle left, as I just can't bring myself to use it! Same goes for the flocked paper in the DSP pack. It is so lovely to just sit and stroke!! (I'm not the only one who does that am I??)Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10370287321005836056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1531677030103961400.post-7827247312355179602012-10-07T10:30:00.000+13:002012-10-07T10:30:01.306+13:00My new business Facebook pageI have a new <a href="http://www.facebook.com/JennyHumphreysIndependentStampinUpDemonstrator" target="_blank">facebook page</a> - I post all my class information on there, as well as any specials or promotions Stampin' Up! is running. It seems to be working for me now.... so fingers crossed I can keep it going! Thanks for bearing with me if you're still here! And thanks for stopping by if you're new!<br />
As a demonstrator I am part of ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) which is an awesome Facebook community of demonstrators from all over Australia and New Zealand. One of the great things the group does is "birthday fairies" - and it was my birthday last month - and I got a WHOLE HEAP of handmade goodness in my mailbox.<br />

Yep - still on a twitterpated run! This card also uses the framelits from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue. I love that they co-ordinated with the Apothecary Art set - but seeing as my budget was tight, and I didn't buy it - I love even more that they fit with a lot of our existing stamp sets - this one is an oldie but a goodie - Sincere SalutationsJennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10370287321005836056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1531677030103961400.post-77652036031904368122012-04-23T14:00:00.000+12:002012-04-23T14:00:00.897+12:00twitterpated two<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You will be seeing lots of stuff with Twitterpated over the next little while. I need to get it out of my system!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is another CASE of a <a href="http://www.stampinchic.com/2012/02/thinking-of-you-and-video-too.html">SAB card</a> by Ann Schach - such a gorgeous card - and it's hard to tell the difference between the two! I do try and change things when I CASE - and I changed the paper completely on this card - but I guess the colours are just about the same. Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red instead of Pool Party and Poppy Parade. Oh well, I love them both!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you love Twitterpated as much as I do, make sure you book a workshop and order it before it's all gone. </div>

I have been wanting to try one of these pinwheels for a while, and I saw this gorgeous card on Gretchen Barron's blog using the SAB papers. (sorry - my computer is being weird - I'll come back later and put the links in :( </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am in LOVE with the Twitterpated DSP in the new Autumn/Winter mini so thought I'd re-create the card using that.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The layout is basically the same as Gretchen's but I couldn't find a ribbon I liked the look of. I also have no SU buttons left, so I have usef contraband, but when my new order of twitterpated buttons arrive - I'll be making this again! The pinwheels are SO easy to make. Check out Gretchen's blog and see for yourself :)</div>

Teachers LOVE chocolate, and put it in a cute little package and they go gaga :) these look so much cuter in real life - 'scuse the dark pic - I took it late at night after I hid them from my toddler who thought shiny paper meant they were all for him!! I figure if anyone is left reading this blog, then yay!! You're awesome! If not, it's still a nice way to remind myself of what I have accomplished in my craft room!<br />
I CASEd this card from a demo in Australia - she used the "open sea" stamp set and the nautical DSP from the summer mini - and while I know we wont get the paper, I REALLY hope the stamp set comes back.<br />
This card uses the SAB papers and another stamp set from the summer mini - topsy turvy celebrations. I know none of this is available any more but it was when I made it!! :)<br />

The ornament is made using the First Edition specialty paper - I love this stuff - it's thinner than normal DSP, so more manoeuverable (I have NO idea if that is spelt right!!) - perfect for the rosette. (I'm loving these rosettes too!! they take AGES to score but are so worth it in the end!)<br />
The idea came from the awesomely talented <a href="http://stampinbythesea.com/halloween-tree-decoration-tutorial">Kimberley Van Diepen</a> - and I didn't change much - added the Cherry Cobbler ribbon rather than the vanilla. You can't see it very well but the scallop square is covered in dazzlng diamonds, and the edge of the rosette is dipped in (contraband) gold glitter - it's so blingy in real life! love it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOdnzLcu6X4YjqgywRdfy7pOml0-1iLQ93j09ZUpdzcQjNZ-Tc4tYgAAP5gwNJpHtdcVN4b_JnPGvRxF8vFA-09Y6WUq0Fkb-bnDSYAEgCYhm-1bJ-JAMmbB4-XGX5OAtMAIoBKnkYhdP0/s1600/DSC04042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOdnzLcu6X4YjqgywRdfy7pOml0-1iLQ93j09ZUpdzcQjNZ-Tc4tYgAAP5gwNJpHtdcVN4b_JnPGvRxF8vFA-09Y6WUq0Fkb-bnDSYAEgCYhm-1bJ-JAMmbB4-XGX5OAtMAIoBKnkYhdP0/s320/DSC04042.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I packaged it in a pizza box using retired jolly holiday paper, and the perfect punches stamp set with more bling.<br />
I love the ornament, but wish my partner had been in NZ so I could have had a bit more time to play and jazz it up - but I hope she likes it!<br />
I'll show you what I received in return tomorrow. It's SO cute! Not paper - but felt :)Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10370287321005836056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1531677030103961400.post-17152681854717833772011-12-12T19:57:00.001+13:002011-12-12T19:57:00.070+13:00ornament 1<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsitKoOYHRi6BdxUs9vVeMoxTSDWbkcLvjdtziWhhGJwNu2XElLhxoOfC6wHkGBJdmj0qhOLcLyKSKZK330U5WnuoiFviWRV5bllutGP0DH9rSAwZpgkIDATicSOk3Bv6-1fhBcJr6BWhT/s1600/rosette+black.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsitKoOYHRi6BdxUs9vVeMoxTSDWbkcLvjdtziWhhGJwNu2XElLhxoOfC6wHkGBJdmj0qhOLcLyKSKZK330U5WnuoiFviWRV5bllutGP0DH9rSAwZpgkIDATicSOk3Bv6-1fhBcJr6BWhT/s320/rosette+black.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have been going through an ornament phase - I have seen a WHOLE heap of ideas on pinterest that i want to re-create, and a friend has put up her Christmas tree for the first time in a LOT of years, so she needed new decorations - hello!! She just became my guinea pig lol.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is another CASE of Kimberley Van Diepen - like the ornament I made for a swap. It uses black instead of Cherry Cobbler, and I think I like this better. It's missing ribbon but I don't think that matters :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
I am loving the stitched stockings stamp set and matching punch. I am also loving <a href="http://pinterest.com/">pinterest</a> - although I would NOT recommend it if you get easily distracted! (that's why my house is a pigsty and my Christmas shopping still is nowhere near done!! - you start looking and then two hours later - whoops!) Anyway.... I found <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/155796468328955294/">this </a>card on pinterest - and thought how cute it would be to re-create using the stitched stocking set. So I did. The light on this photo is rubbish, but in real life it loks really cute. I'll try and get a better shot - I have LOTS of pics to take of other CASEs from pinterest, so I should get on to that!Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10370287321005836056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1531677030103961400.post-25965158557884302322011-10-19T23:16:00.000+13:002011-10-19T23:16:24.941+13:00Paper FrameThe very talented Julia Leece showed us these frames at the Auckland big day out. I was having a play and the little girl I was looking after decided she wanted a go too!<br />
Well, I got distracted, so mine isn't decorated - but here is P's flash frame :)<br />

My version used Basic Black - I was going for the classic elegant look. I must finish it - and steal that ribbon idea! Am loving the faux bow look at the moment :)Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10370287321005836056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1531677030103961400.post-11037673655315636532011-09-05T10:39:00.000+12:002011-09-05T10:39:00.469+12:00as if I needed a reason.....<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhikEJrYMJO2GDdm-OOEoH0NaY0BrruEvbYxlReGUkK7_3QaG5udN9Sqgeu8PDmQyjhpXpQwyKO1d4MDJDeR3AAHzQMRYSXEm5ro3uLa2htbI9HK9Ray2wsDcNkpXC3kp8upQLeivhvHdN/s1600/BDO+swap1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhikEJrYMJO2GDdm-OOEoH0NaY0BrruEvbYxlReGUkK7_3QaG5udN9Sqgeu8PDmQyjhpXpQwyKO1d4MDJDeR3AAHzQMRYSXEm5ro3uLa2htbI9HK9Ray2wsDcNkpXC3kp8upQLeivhvHdN/s320/BDO+swap1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648082560121811762" border="0" /></a>
<br />to keep drinking coke or pepsi!! Now I can say I need the cans :)
<br />this was CASEd but I'm sorry I can't remember whose it was - but the original used DSP.
<br />I wanted to do this for my second swap, but the only current DSP I had was Just Add Cake, and it just looked wrong, so I made my own using Vintage Vogue.
<br />I love this card! It feels like spring!
<br />the butterflies are made using soda cans, and I have a BAG full ready to be made into who knows what!! I have a few mobiles hanging around too, and I'll show you those another day.

<br />are blowing in the wind.... I am obsessed with making windmills (or pinwheels) at the moment. I made a whole heap from (now retired) Play Date and Celebrations DSP to make a mobile for Connor's room - which looks awesome if I do say so myself, so I must take a photo and put it on here. but anyway.... I wanted to use them on my swaps so this is what I ended up with.
<br />The windmill is made using Just Add Cake DSP - start with a 2 1/2" square and go <a href="http://www.craftideas.info/html/pinwheel.html">here</a> for directions. Simple as :)

<br />I can't believe it has taken me SO long to give them a go! They look really tricky, and I HATE fiddling round with bits trying to get them to stick in the right place, but then .. Heather Summers to the rescue again! (This woman is a LEGEND! honestly!!) - there is a trick to these flowers - and it is twine!! So..... after watching <a href="http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/2011/08/lollipop-accordian-flower.html">this little gem</a> of a video, this is one of the make and takes we did at my catalogue launch today.
<br />The card itself is a copy of one I saw on the sample boards at the Big Day Out Product day in Auckland last weekend, and uses the free set we got Under the Big Top. This is not a set I would normally choose, but seeing the cute things we did with it (and no I wont be showing those - they need to be a surprise for the others who haven't had their regional yet!) I kinda like it! And I LOVE this card!
<br />The rosette uses the Melon Mambo Designer Series paper stack - love those papers!!
